Prayers for a Generation
Late 2020, God placed a burden on my heart to become more intentional about praying, not only for my own children, but for an entire generation. I set aside Mondays for prayer and fasting and invited you all to join me in praying. #prayersforageneration was born. Fast forward some six months, and during worship, God impressed upon me that I was to do more than invite you to join me in prayer, I was to invite you to share your own heart-cries for the young people in your world.
I believe God is wanting to raise up spiritual mothers who will stand in the gap in prayer and intercession for a generation; who will believe in them, calling out their purpose, and reminding them of who they are in Christ. And so, I invite you to be one of those mothers.
Parenting in a post-truth culture, where social media seems to trump all with a pandemic thrown into the mix is not for the faint-hearted. But we are not powerless in the face of the enemy’s attempts to steal, kill, and destroy the faith of our children. As daughters of the King, we are here “for such a time as this.” We carry solutions both for our families and the families of the nations. Our prayers have the power to change the trajectory of our children’s lives; to shape their hearts and lives for the Father’s glory.
Every Monday, over at The Devoted Collective, we share prayers to help you stand in the gap for the young people you carry in your heart. To get them direct to your inbox, subscribe below.
